Ghorepani –Ghandruk Village Trek lies in the Annapurna region, it is one of the shortest and most popular trekking routes of Annapurna region. The trail takes you through gorgeous valleys and offers you splendid varieties of natural beauty, unique experiences with the magnificent views of Annapurna Region including majestic Himalayan peaks namely, Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna south, Nilgiri, Tukuche peak, Dhampus peak, Machhapuchhre, (6993m), Annapurna II, III, IV, Lamjung Himal, Dhaulagiri I (8167m) and among others. The trail takes you through beautiful Modi Khola valley up to Poon-hill, at the foothill of the Annapurna massif. This is one of the most beautiful treks that combine easy walking with majestic scenery and a mix of cultures unmatched by any other treks in Nepal. The trail starts from lowland villages and rice terraces deep into the Annapurna Himal. Poon Hill is a viewpoint to see the Annapurna peaks including Machhapuchhre (Mt. Fishtail), Mt. Dhaulagiri to the north and the transcendental valley to the south.

The region is dominated by the Gurung and Magars; both are ethnic groups of Nepal. While descending on the way back to Pokhara, we pass through the paved courtyards of Ghandruk village, another popular traditional village of Gurung and there we can experience their age old tradition and culture and interact with the local people. The trek is full with beautiful sceneries with lots of remarkable moments.

Day 04: Drive – Nayapul -Trek Tikhedhunga (1, 577m.) 5 hours trek

Day 05: Trek Tikhedhunga – Ghorepani (2,800m.) 6 hours trek.

Day 06: Hike up to Poon Hill (3,200m.) Trek Tadapani (2,710m.) 5 hours trek.

Day 07: Trek Tadapani – Ghandrung (1,940m.) 5 hours trek.

Day 08: Trek Ghandrung – Jhinudanda (1,750m.) 5 hours trek.

Day 09: Trek Jhinudanda – Pothana (1,800m.)5 hours trek.

Day 10: Trek Pothana – Dumpus ((1,590m.) – Phedi – Pokhara (958m.) 5-6 hours trek.

Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu and we go for a farewell dinner in the evening.

Day 12: Transfer to the airport for your onward flight home sweet home.

Day 01:-Arrive in Kathmandu (1,300/4,264ft)
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative from Volunteer Society Treks. After sorting out your custom formalities (Visa etc) you will be then transferred to the hotel. The representative will help you check into your designated hotel and give you some time to freshen up. After this, we will attend an orientation about your trek led by our Trekking leader over a typical Nepali welcome dinner that will include a scintillating cultural dance performed by the local belles. You then return to your hotel for your first overnight in the valley of the gods! *Included Meal Dinner. (D)

Day 02: Kathmandu: sightseeing & trek preparation (1,300/4,264ft).
Kathmandu is the cultural heart of Nepal and has been a famous destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its borders to visitors. The city displays an interesting combination of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence in the Valley. Patan and Bhaktapur, the two important neighboring cities bear much cultural and religious significance to Nepal’s landscape. There will be a full day guided tour to the histori Durbar Square, unique architectures and Kumari (living goddess), the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambunath) and Buddhists shrine (Buddha Nath), in the evening, there will be a pre-trip discussion where we meet our trek leader and other stuff for your adventure trip.Overnight at hotel, included meal: (B)

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (958m.) 5-6 hours drive.
Early morning at around 6:30 am, we drive by tourist bus to Pokhara along the Trishuli and Marshyadgdi River through the beautiful countryside of Nepal that offers villages, Rivers greeneries, rice fields and wonderful mountain sceneries. ‘City of Lakes’ Pokhara offers superb views of Annapurna including, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fish tail) and others. We can explore the beautiful natures, caves, temples and Lakes, during the afternoon -enjoy boating too. We stay overnight at hotel (B, B)

Day 04: Drive – Nayapul -Trek Tikhedhunga (1, 577m.) 5 hours trek
After breakfast at around 08 am, we will drive to Nayapul and start the trek to Birethanti along the Modi River. We walk to the northern side of Bhurungdi Khola, the trail climb through the bamboo forest and pass a big waterfall and swimming hole, we continue follow the trail and reach Ramghai where we will have lunch. After lunch, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley, reaching Tikhe Dhunga. We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L, D)

Day 05: Trek Tikhedhunga – Ghorepani (2,800m.) 6 hours trek.
From Tikhe Dhunga the trail crosses the Burungdi Khola on a suspension bridge, and then climbs continuing to Ghorepani via very steeply up to Ulleri village (2,080m) with the amazing landscape and the Himalayan scenery. The trail climbs gently through pastures and cultivated fields. We continue crosses two sparkling streams before making a short, final climb to Nangethanti where we stop for lunch. The name Ghorepani in Nepali means “horse-water. Ghorepani is a fascinating place with small shops and stalls for selling local products and craft. Since Ghorepani lies quite higher than our previous stop. We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L, D)

Day 06: Hike up to Poon Hill (3,200m.) Trek Tadapani (2,710m.) 5 hours trek.
An early morning we take ascend to poon Hill (3,210m) to catch the spectacular sunrise view over the whole Annapurna , Dhaulagiri massif including Mt Machhapuchhre (Fish tail) , Mt Manaslu with surrounding rice terrace. After a great time return back to Ghorepani for the breakfast, we continue trek to Tadapani through the rhododendron forest. We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L, D)

Day 07: Trek Tadapani – Ghandrung (1,940m.) 5 hours trek.
After breakfast, we descend to Ghandrung village.It is a large Gurung village located above Modi Khola (river), offers excellent views of Annapapurna South, Gangapurna (7455m) Annapurna III (7555m) and Machapuchre, the trail mainly through forest and goes gentle down. Evening explore the Gurung museum to know about their traditional cloths and useful equipment. We stay overnight at guesthosue (B, L, D)

Day 08: Trek Ghandrung – Jhinudanda (1,750m.) 5 hours trek.

Day 09: Trek Jhinudanda – Pothana (1,800m.)5 hours trek.
After breakfast we will head downhill through jungle. We will then cross a suspension bridge leading you to a water mill. From there, the trail follows along the river bank to Himalpani. Still following the river and climbing up hill, you will arrive in the village of Landruk. It is home to the Gurung people. We can stop for a lunch break and head on through the valley. It is a beautiful stroll along the horizon. The next stop is Pothana, located on a hillside with fine mountain views. We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L, D)

Day 10: Trek Pothana – Dumpus ((1,590m.) – Phedi – Pokhara (958m.) 5-6 hours trek.
The trek begins downhill and offers views of the Annapurna mountain range. We will pass more Gurung villages allowing you to see the huge farming communities in which they live in. Passing on, you will reach the villages of Pothana and Dhampus. From here, we will have your first view of Pokhara.We stay overnight at guesthouse (B, L, D)

Day 11: Drive to Kathmandu and we go for a farewell dinner in the evening.
Early morning at around 7:00 am, we drive by tourist bus to Kathmandu along the Trishuli and Marshyadgdi River through the beautiful countryside of Nepal that offers villages, Rivers greeneries, rice fields and wonderful mountain sceneries. After nearly 5-6 hours drive we arrive to Kathmandu. Your day is free, however, at even tide; you will be taken to a well known Nepali kitchen for a delicious farewell dinner of the original Nepalese cuisine. As you enjoy your meal, you will also be entertained to an exciting cultural dance performed by the local belles. You will enjoy this experience which is complimentary on behalf of the Volunteer Society Treks. Overnight at hotel (B, D)

Day 12: Transfer to the airport for your onward flight home sweet home.
